I get a very similar message on one of my machines when I am trying to
import
data from Oracle. We use Windows NT with Oracle and a few other databases.
There are several confusing things about this bug. 1) Sometimes it works
correctly for several queries, before it causes SPlus to hang. After SPlus
hangs,
the machine must be restarted before the query will work again. 2) On
several
other, similarly set up machines, this error never occurs. 3) If the query
is run as a script, without going through the gui, everything
works correctly, even on the problem machine.
