Hi, all.
This may be a question better suited for the gnu-help list, but perhaps
one of you can help.

Professional Edition Version 6.1.2 Release 1 for Microsoft Windows :
2002
I'm having some difficulty incorporating some C code into a library
using GNU tools. The help files suggests changing the S.ini file, which
I did:
[chapter]
rules = mrules.mak
make = make.exe
where make.exe replaces Microsoft's nmake.exe. The question is how do I
alter the mrules.mak file? By default it is set up expecting that the
user has MSVisualStudio (MSVS), which I do not. Essentially, I'm using
the tools provided from http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/Rtools/.
I am able to do everything I need using old Splus rules (as described in
VR's `S Programming'), but would like to update to the latest protocols.
Unfortunately, the `S Programming' complement from Prof. Ripley's
website only outlines the MSVS case for Splus6.x, which are identical to
the documentation I found on the Insightful website.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Sundar
