Hi. I run S-Plus 6.0.3 under Windows 2000 on a comparatively spotty network
connection. From time to time I will be unable to access the network drive that
holds S-Plus itself, and also my home directory. The same is true when I run
S-Plus 2000 under Windows NT.
When I'm using S-Plus 2000, this causes delays, which, while annoying, are
understandable. However S-Plus 6.0.2 handles this much less well. After almost
any delay S-Plus either crashes outright or gives me a pop-up window saying
that a particular file could not be written. In the latter case that window
will pop-up after every command, so I end up re-starting S-Plus anyway.
Has anyone had this experience with S-Plus 6? Does anyone have any Insight, as
it were, on how to prevent these crashes?
Thanks,
Sam Buttrey
