My object explorer seems to have become corrupted, so that all kinds of
system and other files are being dumped into the working data directory.
The actual data I'm using remains in a chapter at the top of the search
path, without appearing under the data section.

The problem was preceeded by my moving a couple of data files from one
chapter to another. Now the whole directory seems totally corrupted, and
the only cure I can imaging is to re-install the whole of splus. My worry
is that if I preserve the data chpaters, the same problem may re-emerge.

Has anyone come across anything like this ? Help !

I'm using splus 6.0.3, release 2 under W2K.
