Dear All,

I am currently trying to run my simulations in batch mode on UNIX using S+ 5.1, however I am not quite sure how to use the options(echo=F) command in my Splus BATCH in out command syntax? Is it also possible to change or create an object in the Splus directory rather than creating an output? My output is a complex list and it can be daunting to try to convert the list back into Splus form to do some analysis!

Just another general question to the S simulation people at large, does the use of if command slows down the process? I have avoided any do and for loop so far, but given the complexity of the program, it still tends to run quite slowly. I am seeking ways in which I can make it run faster, so any general comments relating to this area would be useful J

Thanks for your attention.
