Dear S-Users, Has anyone implemented the Gap statistic for assessing number of clusters as described in: Robert Tibshirani, Guenther Walther and Trevor Hastie. "Estimating the number of clusters in a dataset via the Gap statistic" (ps file). "pdf version". Tech. report. March 2000. Published in JRSSB 2000.
