Calling S-PLUS using Java/CONNECT

Hi folks,

I went to the S-news archive to try to find this information, but none of
the links to messages appear to be working.

We're using S-PLUS 6.1 for Windows.  We are trying to use Java/CONNECT to
call an S-PLUS script.  When we do this, however, none of our S-PLUS
GUI-related functions appear to be available.  Only, S code seems to work.
Is there a way to use Java/CONNECT to call S-PLUS programs so that S-PLUS
GUI-related functions are available?
