SPLUS and Remote Sensing ?

Dear Colleagues,

if I may ask, I am looking for advise and shared experiences on how to use
SPLUS efficiently with Remote Sensing images and RS software.
Some of the images have app. half a million pixels, and since most of them
have over 6 bands, that leaves us with a huge
set of data points to run for instance a simple PCA or correlation matrix
even.
