Hi list,

Is there a maximum on the number of times menuRandomSample() can be called
within a loop?

When trying to do this, it will work for between 200 and 300 iterations (the
exact number changes from attempt to attempt), and then crash S-PLUS (6.0 on
W2K). I've tracked the memory use and it never approaches the 256 Mb on my
machine. I've stripped any other commands from the loop, to repeatedly take
sub-samples and do nothing else, but still no luck.

Is there any kind of 'cleanup' to include at each iteration to prevent the
crash...or anything else to try?

Cheers,
