I always copy from S-Plus and paste to a proper drawing program (I use
CorelDraw) for touching up graphs. THEN I copy/paste to Word (or
whatever). Not sure why it works better that way, but it does. I guess
the lesson is to use Word for touching up, well, words, and use a
drawing program for graphics. I've done it this way for years, using
the drawing program as the intermediate step, with many different
programs on either side of the process.
