Population pyramids/Christmas tree plots in S-Plus?

Hi,

I need to make population pyramids (an example may be found at
http://146.63.75.50/research/pop/00ars.pdf ) from the GUI, and can't find a
way to do that.

The GUI part is important; this isn't for me but for the software users
here, who are generally computer-phobic.

Any hints would be much appreciated.
