Pharsight Corporation is seeking pharmacometricians and biostatisticians for a challenging and satisfying career in global services consulting.

Details of the Position

Description of Position: Pharmacometricians or Biostatistician - Europe or North America-based.

Application of modeling and simulation for optimization of decision-making in drug development. Participate as a member of Pharsight project teams in developing optimal clinical development programs and trial designs using pharmacodynamic modeling and simulation. Responsible for analytical aspects of the projects, including defining key issues in clinical development and trial design, analysis, PK/PD modeling, simulation, interpretation and presentation of results.

Qualifications/Education:

Pharmacometrician: PhD in pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacology, biomedical engineering or a related field with clinical drug development experience. Background and experience in (population) PK/PD modeling with WinNonlin/WinNonMix, NONMEM, S-PLUS, and/or SAS a prerequisite. Experience in industry would be a plus. Strong communication skills are highly desirable.

Biostatistician: Ph.D. in Statistics with clinical drug development experience. Clinical experience in a project team setting is highly desirable. Background and experience in biostatistics (using traditional and Bayesian approaches) using S-PLUS or SAS a prerequisite. Experience with nonlinear models for repeated measurement data highly is desirable, esp. population pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling. Strong communication skills are highly desirable.
