Dear All,

Sometime ago I made an enquiry about the sobol sequence generator and vectosied version of optimize.

In summary:

There does not seem to be a sobol sequence generator in Splus, however other quasi random number generators like rquasi() may be used as a substitute.

inverseFunction() works like a vectorised version of optimize.

Both of these functions are available in the resample (beta version) library of Splus. However, it may be a good idea to wait for a few weeks for some of the minor changes insightful are currently working on this library.

Thank you for your attention.
