Hi.

Since a while I experience a strange problem with S-PLUS Version 5.0 R3 under
SunOS. I start S-PLUs by executing 'Splus -e' ,in order to get emacs
key-bindings for editing. Especially Control-P for going back into the command
history is a real handy shortcut. This worked pretty fine until recently when
Control-P suddenly changed it behavior and instead of giving the last command
it
jumps to the very first command in the history. Rendering the function useless,
IMO.
It's a strange error, I know, especially since the chenge happened in the
middle
of a running S+ session. It may well be that I accidentally did some keystrokes
that changed the behavior, but I am neither aware of that nor am I able to
figure out what I did at the very moment of the change.
Since it's very annoying to cut&paste repeated commands I would highly
appreciate if anyone has a clue how to overcome this problem.

Thanks a lot.
Gernot
