Thanks to Chris Disdero, Lou Bajuk, and Michael O'Connell of Insightful
Corportation, major updates to the Hmisc and Design libraries for Windows
S-Plus 6.x are available at
http://hesweb1.med.virginia.edu/biostat/s/Hmisc.html and
http://hesweb1.med.virginia.edu/biostat/s/Design.html

To install these, delete [S-Plus Home]\library\Hmisc and [S-Plus
Home]\library\Design and extract new .zip files into [S-Plus Home]\library as
described in the installation instructions on the above web pages. The web
page containing the .zip files also contains change logs.

As this is the first time that .zip files updating Hmisc and Design for S-Plus
6 on Windows have been made available, I would appreciate it if a few people
installed the new versions soon and reported any problems to me. Others may
wish to wait several days before installing.

The changes to the libraries consist of many bug fixes, some new functions
(especially aregImpute for flexible multiple imputation), and many enhancements
to old functions (especially for latex and summary.formula). latex now should
be compatible with MikTeX on Windows. To use the new getHdata function for
automatically accessing S-Plus datasets from our web site, you will need to
install wget.exe as described in the documentation for getHdata.
