This question must have an easy answer, but I've not been able to figure it out.  In many studies I need to plot the longitudinal data for many subjects within a single plot.  The only way I know is to write a script to plot each case separately in a for loop.  This often takes some time to generate the plot.  A kluge is to create a data frame adding an NA at the end of each subject's data.  This actually works faster than the for loop, but screws up (technical term) the data frame and violates my sense of data-frame aesthetics. I also tried the grouped-data approach but I didn't work for plots. Is there an easy and fast way to do these plots?
