Thread-topic: Matrix Max
All,

I really hope this is an easy one and I'm just having a brain blip.  I am sort of feeling brain-dead working on 5 or 6 pojects at once with deadlines in close proximity, so maybe its just overload.  I am using S-PLUS 6 on Windows XP.  I have 5 matrices, each 156x720.  I want to find the max value between all 5 matrices at each x,y location and output them to another 156x720 matrix.  I tried using max(mtx1,mtx2,na.rm=T), but that just returns the single highest value in the whole of both matrices.  How can I make this work?  Thanks for the help.
