CSIRO Mathematical & Information Sciences will be presenting a 2 day course for new and relatively new users of S-PLUS in June.  No experience in S-PLUS is necessary.  If you are already an experienced user, you might know someone else who will benefit from attending.

This course provides a blend of introductory techniques in using the S-PLUS for Windows GUI and how to take the most if it, as well as basic programming and writing your own simple functions.   Personal computers are provided and the course presentations are backed up by frequent practical sessions.

Course:         Getting Started with S-PLUS
Date:           24-25 June 2003 (Tue-Wed)
Where:          CSIRO, Macquarie University Campus, Sydney

A full description and booking form are available on our web site at www.csiro.au/S-PLUS.  If you would like us to mail or fax you a copy, ring (02) 9325 3175 or email S+enquiries@csiro.au.

When we ran this course last year, we had so many registrants we had to run a second session.  If the numbers warrant doing this again, the alternative dates will probably be 26-27 June (Thurs-Fri).  So if these days suit you better, please let us know just in case we are able to offer the alternative.

Costs (including GST)

$1210 AUD per participant.  The fee includes lunch, refreshments and course materials.

Discounts available:

  1. 10% discount  for customers in the CSIRO S-PLUS Annual Maintenance Program
  2. Bookings made before 23 May 2003 will receive a $33 early bird rebate

For example, an S-PLUS customer who is part of the CSIRO Maintenance Program who books into the course before the early bird date can bring the total cost down to $1056, including GST.

Regards
Kris
