While reading one of the three replies I got, my pc went wrong with loss
of emails of the last 2 days.
Additional info/clarification of my problem-
am using SPlus 6.1 Professional for Window (under CWin 98).
I have a dataframe 290 by 54 (row by column) which is imported from
Excel.
Several columns are time (hours and min) in the format hh:mm. And I
want the
difference between several columns for curve fitting purpose.

Data class of sam1 and sam2 are labeled as facto

Dear sir,
Want to calculate the time difference in minutes of two columns; these
two columns are input as a dataframe. The format is XX:YY (where XX are
hours (24 hours) and YY are minutes). How should one do this?
