thank you to all
those people who sent suggestions
and answers. I took
Bill Dunlap's suggestion
and checked whether
I had any dead processes
out there that were
somehow still showing
up when I use the
"top" command.
I use ps -e | grep
Sqpe and
I had NINE dead
processes so I killed
them all and then
the crontab started
to work !!!!!
I use Linux so maybe
it is not good at
removing processes that
were
killed/interrupted/did not complete cleanly etc.
thank you again to
everyone.
