In attempting to use S+finmetrics, I keep having trouble with
timeSeries objects and data.frames. Eventually I figure things
out, but a great deal time is wasted in the process. I have
spent time with Krause and Olson, and the manuals that come with
S-plus and S+finmetrics. But they do not cover time series much. Similarly,
chapter 2 of the otherwise great book by Zivot and
Wang is clearly not adequate for properly understanding the ins
and outs of timeSeries and data manipulation. What I need is
a reasonably systematic coverage of timeSeries objects at the
level of say Krause and Olson. Can anyone suggest where to find
such a thing? Thanks.
