When Splus 6.2 starts, the working chapter is S_HOME. To attach a new
working chapter you can either, use New Working Chapter or Attach
Chapter from the menu. Attach Chapter (at position 1) gives me access
to the data for my project and to special functions in my S_Home
directory. But, any file output goes into S_Home instead of the project
directory. getCurrDirectory still shows S_Home even though all Splus
activity takes place in my project directory. If I use New Working
Chapter instead, Splus (as noted in the manual) removes my S_Home
directory after attaching the project directory. Now, while file
writing happens in the directory I want, I lose access to the special
functions I have in my S_Home directory. I would like to override the
removal of the previous working directory. I look in the history file
and it only shows that the dialog has called the function .attach which
by itelf does not remove the previous working directory. Basically, I
want this to work like the "New Workspace" procedure in Splus 2000. Any
pointers would be appreciated.
