Hello again,

I am refining my previous query regarding number of iterations. My aim is to
obtain empirical Bayes estimates for the data at hand. But I would like to
specify the population estimates(I don't want SPLUS to estimate it!). So I
have been advised to fix number of iterations to zero and run it. I am just
wondering if there is any documentation available on what the following
terms mean in 'nlmeControl'-(maxIter, pnlsMaxIter, msMaxIter, niterEM).

My guess is I will have to fix maxIter=0 but do I have to worry about other
iterations that seem to be taking place inside nlme?

I am using SPLUS 6.0 professional for windows.

Thank you.

Pravin
