The short answer is yes, and by downloading from the internet.
You have not told us for what OS, but since you have the incorrect case
for e.g. MASS and nnet I guess it must be Windows.
There are pre-compiled library *sections* available in various places: see
http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/MASS4/Software.html#Windows
for links to quite a few (and do check the `listing' link). You can also
(possibly with a fair amount of work) make use of the contributions on
statlib (lib.stat.cmu.edu). John Fox's CAR is available from
http://socserv.mcmaster.ca/jfox/Books/Companion/car.html
and there are quite a few others out there, but it would be better to have
a clearer idea of what you are looking for.
Insightful has had some library sections available for 6.1/2, but I don't
know if they worked with 6.0 (nor can I warrant that any of the above work
with 6.0, although many of them used to). See
http://www.insightful.com/downloads/libraries/default.asp
