Hello. I'm running S-plus 2000 on a Windows XP machine. I want to write a script to create a greyscale plot, in which the positions of a large number of polygons are determined by two variables (call them X and Y) and the degree of shading of each polygon is determined by a third (continuous) variable Z. Are there good tricks for choosing colors, densities, angles, ...? to create varying shades of white/grey/black depending on Z? Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------- Carl Schmertmann Professor of Economics Center for Demography and Pop.
