You need to have Powerpoint > 7.0 installed, not the viewer.  One workaround would be to use Open Office's presentation software and save as a Powerpoint presentation.  You could create your figure(s) with wmf.graph() and then insert into Open Office.  If you have a lot of these files you could write a simple macro to import them automagically into the presentation.

Subject: [S] S-Plus' Powerpoint Wizard doesn't recognize the Powerpoint Viewer.

I'm trying to export S-Plus graphics to Powerpoint without needing to edit them. I have the Powerpoint Viewer (version 8.0), but S-Plus doesn't detect it and aborts before I can export any slides to the Viewer. Is there a workaround that anyone knows of?

One possibility that comes to mind is the file PPLINK.INI, which contains initialization parameters for S-Plus' Powerpoint Wizard. Unfortunately, I don't know how I would change PPLINK.INI.

In case it matters, I'm using S-Plus 6.1 under Windows 98. Thanks for your help.
