multiple comparisons in a lme model

Dear all

Is there a way, similar to the multicomp command for lm models, to do
multiple comparisons in a lme model in S-Plus? I am using S-Plus 6.2 
for Windows. Say I have lme model, including a categorical fixed 
effect predictor with 4 levels and would like to do multiple 
comparisons of the different levels.
