this implies that there were some legal problems regarding the version posted, if not the algorithm itself per se. The links to download gene-sig posted there are all broken, indicating that it has been withdrawn from circulation.

Thanks, Mike
Is it possible to obtain it? I do not see any patent problems. The algorith is published and widely known. In fact, I am programming it myself now, but I have some problems in understanding minor details.

I think that you will find that there *was* a version of the SAM algorithm implemented for S-Plus by Holger Schwender. However, he had to withdraw this due to the patents that apply to the algorithm.

Dear All:
I am wondering if there is an S-PLUS implementation of the SAM algorithm by
Tibshirani et al?
Thanks
