Please accept my apology for posting a question about the Graphic User
Interface (GUI) to a group who's predominant interest is in the command
language.
I am the teaching assistant for a course in biostatistics. All students
are new to S-PLUS, and are using version 6.1 or 6.2 on Windows
machines. They are using the GUI and not expected to learn or understand
the S language. Several students have asked if they can choose which
category to set as the reference for factor variables (treatment contrast)
in their regression models. I see from the archives that someone has
addressed this question with code, but I wonder if it's possible through
the menu-driven GUI.
