symbol on the axis label

Hi, I have a question about adding symbol on the axis label. I would like to label 'TNF-a' to be as 'TNF-alpha'. The 'alpha' would be a symbol. I am using S+ GUI (point-and-click) to do it. As far as I know, I can either do all regular characters or all symbols. Is there a way I can only do partial symbol on the axis label?

Any input would be appreciated.
