Dear S-Plus community,
I have a data set with both numeric and factor columns. I try to add
some additional data to this data set, by entering them in a GUI data
window with the keyboard. Entering data in numerical columns works fine,
but I have small problem with the factor columns; for some reason
entering a value in factor columns fails on the first attempt; for
example when I enter a '1' in a factor column cell, press the right
direction key (or any other way to 'enter'), the '1' disappears and
turns into 'NA'. However, if I step back to the same 'NA-cell' with the
left arrow and enter the same '1' again, it works.
Thanks for any suggestions to solve this little problem!
