For your information ... if you use a docking station, you should check
that S-PLUS 7 works both when your laptop is docked and when it is not
docked.

I recently installed S-PLUS® 7.0 for Windows PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPER on my
PC, a laptop in a docking station. The installation and license
authorization went fine, and I was able to use the new version immediately.
However, I discovered later, that I was unable to use S-PLUS 7 on my laptop
when it was not connected to the docking station (I was flying back from a
meeting, trying to get a little work done). Fortunately, I had not yet
removed S-PLUS 6, and was able to continue my work using the older version.
Back at my office, I called Insightful, and they modified my license so
that it would work whether I was docked or not. (Insightful was very
helpful ... many thanks to the early riser on Bainbridge Island!)

Just a heads up to others out there that may find themselves in a similar
situation.
