Using S-Plus 6.2 Under Windows XP (Excel 2003)
I’m trying to import several excel files into S-Plus. The
problem is that the first row (rownames not included) might or might not have
data. All Columns contain blanc or factor info. If the first rowfield is “blanc”
S-Plus imports the columns as “double” and all “factor”
information is removed in the imported column. I can resolve it in Excel by replacing
all the “blancs” into e.g. “NA”, but this is I hope
just a temporarly solution. Has someone experience with this issue?
