Dear S-plus users,

I have some questions relating to boxplots.

1. In order to make 'boxcol' refer to a grayscale I have used the command:

graphsheet(image.color.scheme="trellis black on white")

I this THE way to get a grayscale? It looks very good on my screen, but when I exported a plot with boxcol=100 (which is gray on the screen) as Compuserve GIF, grayscale, 128 levels, it appears pale green when I insert in my Word (2002) document (I suspect this is a 'Word problem' or?)

2. Is it possible specify the x-position of separate boxes? Sometimes I want to plot boxes together in groups, but the problem(?) is that I don't have any particular grouping variables, and my grouping criteria can be quite arbitrary so it needs to be done manually.
