annual hazard rate

Hi all:
I am wondering can anyone advise me how I can use a S-plus or R to  
calculate and plot the annual hazard rate, in a cohort of subjects  
that I have the survival time, even status, and the factor (for  
example, node positive and node negative). I would like to see plot  
the annual hazard rate for the nodal status separately.
