Thread-topic: Survival analysis with two mutually exclusive events
Dear All,

I would be grateful if you could point me to references, pre-defined routines
in S+ or packages that can handle two mutually exclusive events in survival
analysis. I have the feeling that there is a straightforward solution but I
couldn't find supporting evidence on the internet. I have done first steps via
minimisation of the likelihood but that seems to be cumbersome.

My statistical problem is as follows:
A variable can assume either state "A" or "B" after time t dependent on y. The
sample is right-censored. "A" and "B" are mutually exclusive and do always and
permanently realise as time grows to infinity.

I use S+ Professional 7.0 on WinXP.

Thanks & Regards,
Thomas Siwik
