We currently use the Connect/C++ library with S-Plus 6 for a stand-alone C++
application for developing classification trees. We are considering purchasing
an additional copy of S-Plus (version 7) to permit analysis and development on
an additional computer.
I am aware that S-Plus 7 has additional developer capabilities (e.g., new
statistical methods, new S language capabilities). However, have there have
been any other changes to the Connect/C++ library in S-Plus 7 since S-Plus 6.x
that might have an adverse effect on our application.
We are using S-Plus on Windows XP boxes and developing with MS Visual Studio 6.
