We are thinking of buying Splus for large data set and need to justify this
to the management.
Does Splus 7 for large data runs the GAM (generalized linear regression) faster than the Splus 6? faster than R? We have data with 7 millions rows and 400 columns Also anyone has the patent number for the "pipeline architecture" that Splus 7 uses?
