You can easily do that by subsetting your data and then pass that to the boxplot argument. See ?"[" for examples

Now, people may argue that you will artificially hide the real structure of your data so then you may be really misusing a descriptive tool such as the boxplot.

I have a boxplot as attached.
I want to the boxplot show the range of y from 4 to 6 only.
Is there anyway to configure that by par() or some other function?
Any clues or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!
