Hello,

I sent the following on Friday, it was rejected with the reason:

" Please resend without the graphic file - it does not add to your
posting."

But there was no graphic file attached to my posting???

Hope it makes it this time!

Hello,

Frank was right. I was attaching my own version of Hmisc, don't ask me why
I had a private version, I can't recall? All I can tell was that I was,
routinely, issuing the command:

#************************************
> library(section = Hmisc, pos = 3, lib.loc
= '/actuaria/jeg002/Splus6/library/')

### I like to keep my own library at position (2).

/actuaria/jeg002/Splus6/library//Hmisc/S.so: ld.so.1: Sqpe: fatal:
relocation error: file
/actuaria/jeg002/Splus6/library//Hmisc/S.so: symbol rank_: referenced
symbol not found
Hmisc library by Frank E Harrell Jr, Wednesday November 6 09:10:12 EST
2002

This library is provided by FE Harrell <fharrell@virginia.edu>.
It is not supported by Insightful Corp.
Type library(Hmisc, help=T) to view the readme file for the Hmisc library.
Type help(library='Hmisc') to see detailed documentation.

Hmisc redefines [.factor to drop unused levels of factor variables
when subscripting. To prevent this behaviour, issue the command
options(drop.unused.levels=F). You must use
options(drop.unused.levels=F) for multicomp to calculate correctly.
#************************************

and I didn't even noticed the error I was getting??? My apologies for
taking up your time for something I had right in my face!

Thanks to Frank for putting me back on the right track.

A nice weekend to all,

Gérald
