Hello,

Two questions regarding Moran's I correlograms:

1. I have been using function spatial.cor (spatial module) to calculate Moran's I.  In the hopes of calculating standard error for the Moran's I estimate, I have been saving the variance output of spatial.cor. But all my variance values are negative. How come? Is this not variance in its usual sense?

2. I saw in the archives that a separate function is available to compute Moran's I for regression residuals. Is this correct?  Which function?

I'm using S-Plus version 6.1. Advice will be much appreciated!
Jana
