(Bio-) Statistical Programmer (temporary assignment)

 

Responsibilies:

 

Modifying a C library for S-Plus and S-Plus code to increase speed and flexibility of a scoring algorithm.

 

Requirements:

 

familiarity with basic statistical methods
Excellent skills in the use of C++ and R or S as programming language for statistical methods
familiarity with programming techniques for FPGAs and grid environments a plus
a B.S. or M.S. in biostatistics, computational statistics, or a related field required.
good written communication skills
ability to work independently and creatively
Assignment:

Three months with an extension to a permanent position as an option.

Compensation: open
