Does anyone know how to surpress the "row.names" appearing in the top left hand corner of a matrix/table when using write.table() to write the matrix/table to an external file? I can change the row names and column names but the row names themselves have a heading "row.names" which I don't actually require.

I would be grateful for any help.

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Eric
