The 1st Annual FDA/DIA Statistics Forum is fast approaching. Program information and registration details can be found on the DIA website at:

http://www.diahome.org/DIAHome/Education/FindEducationalOffering.aspx?productID=11497&eventType=Meeting

Of particular interest to the S mailing list will be Mat Soukup’s tutorial, “Statistical Graphics with R for Clinical Trial Data”, and a session within the program on Statistical Graphics.

We are very excited about this meeting, as it will provide an excellent venue to discuss the regulatory and scientific issues that are important for statisticians who support the development of new drugs and biologics. The construct of this meeting will be all plenary sessions, with ample time built in throughout the program for discussion and debate.

Key leaders from FDA and industry will participate.

This forum is especially timely as several new guidance documents are under development at FDA and statistical activities to support the "critical path" vision are under way. This meeting is necessary to help influence the decisions that will affect us all.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we hope you will meet with us in Bethesda, MD on March 5-7 for this important forum. Please also forward to those who may be interested in your organizations.

Best Regards,

Alan Hochberg
