Dear All,
I am currently using Splus Enterprise Developer Version 7.0.6 for Microsoft
Windows.
I recently wrote a library in R and used two C codes written by someone else
and I was able to build the dll from scratch and it works fine in R.
What I like to do is to have the same library in Splus. So the first thing I
tried was:
Rename the dll I created in R as S.dll and saved in my Splus working
chapter.
It worked! But I was baffled because sometimes, I got totally different
numbers using exactly the same function in R and as in Splus. The only
difference is the C code part in the calculations.
I then read the Application Developer?s Guide, which on page 372 onwards
give a description of how to do get the C code into Splus step by step.
Being a beginner in this, I am not exactly sure how this process would work
for TWO C codes, so if any one can give me a quick hint that will be really
useful!
(I have to get Visual C++ 6.0 yet, but it is still nice to have the process
sorted out so I can try this out as soon as I get the software)
Many thanks in advance.
Steve.
