Dear user I want to ask a very basic question. Could someone tell me the difference between the function of lme and glme in CorrelatedData library? The glme seems to model the mixture effect models with correlated grouped data. lme is not able to do that and it seems glme is more flexible. Does this mean glme can replace lme in all the situations? If so why do we need lme? A similar question is regarding lm and glm.
