Colleagues,

Using the GUI is S-Plus 8.0.4 in Windows, I can format text, e.g., superscripting a character.  It is not clear to me how this can be accomplished from the command line.  In R, this is accomplished using various components of plotmath.

Can anyone advise me how to accomplish this in S-Plus?

A more complicated example would be to create Y-hat (Y with ^ above it) or X-bar (X with a line above it).

Thanks for any advice.

Dennis
