I think that the only way someone could sell their software is if and only if they had stopped using it AND removed it from their machine.  Of course, if someone had stopped using it, they are probably not looking at S-News ;-)

If your are a licensed S-Plus user through a company or educational institute you may be able to install a second copy of S-Plus on another machine, provided they are not used simultaneously.
