Good morning,

I have a trivial question that's now very frustrating. I want to use a text editor other than NotePad. The editor happens to be called NotePad++ and it's in the directory c:\program files\notepad++. Whenever I change the editor option (or pager option) from the main menu, S+ wants to interpret any occurrence of a \n as a line break. I can't get it to understand that it's a part of a name. So, when I type

c:\\program files\\notepad++\\notepad++.exe

S+ sees

c:\program files\n
otepad++\
otepad.exe

and then says it can't find the file. How do I tell it that \n is not \n but part of the path and name? I tried using quotes, but that's just as bad.

I'm using S+ 8.0 on Vista. Does anyone know how to modify path definitions in Windows Vista? Maybe that will do it

Thanks for any help,

Walt
