Hi S-Plusians.. Was wondering if there is a way to change the default settings for controlling "scientific notations" in "options" or elsewhere so that they don't need to be called in a function like format.default? I am faced with a situation that a very large number gets converted to scientific notation and the same format is retained in an output ascii file. So is it possible to overcome this problem without converting a numeric to text? Thanks much in advance!! Santosh |
